This city is located to the south and west of Duirt and contains the residence of King Tiburon R'lyoh IV, his son and heir, Mako, and his daughters: Ariel R'lyoh and Airelin R'lyoh. It is the capital city of the Mer Kingdom which sits along the west, south, and eastern sides of the continental shelf surrounding the island of Urt. The northern side is wild and untamed as well as occupied by tribes of sahuagin who periodically test the borders.

Until recently, relationships between the sea and the land kingdoms were basically non-existent. The sea inhabitants distrusted the land creatures who they saw as 'spoilers', 'rapists' and basically as a potential threat. It is only recently that King Tiburon, after some land adventurers helped rescue his kidnapped daughter, Ariel, that he was convinced that having relationships with the land was a good idea. He still has a lot of opposition to this idea though, especially among the older members of his Court, so it is not generally known that Ambassador Aquana Sirena is actually a land dweller, not a seaborn mermaid.

Recently the kingdom has had an influx of aquatic elf refugees from somewhere where a civil war has been raging - and the sahuagin there are involved. It is quite possible that many of the aquatic elves are actually malenti or are allied with the sahuagin and are trying to take over. There are concerns that some of the refugees may be 'sympathisers' wanting to bring terror to take over the area. Only time will tell.

There have also been influxes of merfolk and Aventi refugees from the Silver Rain Republic area which is being taken over by sahuagin.
