Ambassador to the Mer Kingdom
There are rumours of a creature in the harbour, perhaps a mermaid, perhaps a fae, perhaps a druid. Whatever she is, some people have mixed feelings about her presence. Some say she has rescued people, who have fallen off their boats from drowning, returning them to the surface, while others say that she interferes with their nets and pots, even to the point of cutting them, rendering them useless. Even a few have said that they have have a vague memory of being in an underwater grotto, having their wounds tended to by a near naked pretty blonde girl before, losing consciousness and waking up again on shore, wondering how they got there. Most of those are disregarded as drunken ravings by women starved sailors, although the odd female sailor, or 'woman of the night' also remembers a time of pleasure before waking up in an inn room the next morning, bed and breakfast already paid for, and a pearl in their pocket.
This creature does exist though, and does live in an underwater grotto/cave somewhere in the harbour. She is a water based druid who is relatively short for a human with long blonde hair (looks aqua coloured in the right light), seagreen eyes and fair skin. Usually very shy, some say that she's afraid of people, but is intensely curious, and adventurous.
As a child, she had been found on the beach by her adoptive elven parents, then, when of suitable age, was 'given' to the druids for training as it is believed that she is part sea-creature, probably either merfolk or nixie - maybe a bit of both. She was raised and mentored by a Sea Druid known as Marina but has now started her 'journey'. When she first arrived in Duirt she spent most of her time in the water, looking for food and scavenging for trinkets which could be sold for coin. Loves the water and hates anyone and anything that would pollute it. Can be curious but is still rather naive about the ways of civilisation and people, for example, she is still trying to grasp the concept of 'money'.
As she got more confident she started involving herself in affairs of the city, especially those that concern the druids. She often reports to the High Druid about what is going on in the ocean. Later on, she encountered the merfolk and became very close to the mermaid Airelin R'lyoh, whom she later discovered was the daughter of the local merking, Tiburon R'lyoh IV, - making her a Princess.
Her 'affair' with the Princess and also assisting with the rescue of another princess led her to spend just over six months in the mercity - a rare honour for a 'surface dweller'. She stayed in an airfilled chamber in the Palace, but spent most of her time there, underwater, using her waterbreathing spells and a mermaid tail costume so to prevent trouble from merfolk who are still distrustful of surface dwellers. She ran errands for the royal family, accompanied them on visits and learned to become a diplomat in preparation for her posting as the 'merfolk ambassador to the surface dwellers' or the liason between the sea and the land, being a creature of both.
She is married to the Hauwk Rider Christian Kane. Currently there are no children.
