Powerful genie that guarded Alexander's treasure

Person Information

Gender: Male
Type: Genie

Bound Information

Vessel: A large vase made by the Sikis tribe
Keeper: Lady Gallorett

Kazar is a powerful genie rumoured to own a literal piece of ancient Persia. He is the former holder of the title Master of the South Gate of Mount Qaf.

He is also rumoured to be assisted by three genies. Both rumours turned out to be true. The piece of land contains an important temple, the entrance to which is heavily trapped. The genies assisting him are:

  • Yalmi, his wife.
  • Al-Evni, and androgenous genie that is more concerned with the maintenance of the temple than with stopping intruders (in that they maintain the traps, but do not particularly care if one passes them or not).
  • Sia, a cat-like genie that seems to just hang around as a cat would.

Kazar guarded the treasure of Alexander the Great, which was eventually found by the coterie in the deserts of Utah. After defeating his manticore the coterie, together with Mali Kamara, confronted Kazar. While he was distracted by an angry shouting match with Mali Kamara—who turns out to be Kazar's second wife—the coterie tracked down his vessel. The coterie destroyed the vessel and bound him to a large vase created by the Sikis tribe, thereby depriving him of his powers for the time being. Eventually, back in London, Lady Gallorett claimed the title of Master of the South Gate of Mount Qaf.
