Two padawans are sent to pick up a third, but when they arrive, the space station seems to be in trouble and it turns into a rescue mission!

Padawan Aava and Padawan Macuy are sent to pick up Padawan Kial Valian in the Ducleron System. Before they leave they decide to look up information on the Ducleron System, because the Oort Cloud of the system is known to mess with navigation systems.

After finding information they can use, Aava and Macuy take the Alula and head for the Ducleron System. Meanwhile Kial Valian is waiting in the cantina of a space station.

Aava and Macuy arrive at the systems Oort Cloud and start the task of moving through it. Aava modifies the Alulas sensors to track asteroids with orbits that take them further into the system and Macuy pilots the Alula to follow one of them.

While this is happening, the station Kial Valian is on shakes violently before the artificial gravity goes offline and emergency lighting kicks in. Someone had spoken to her just before the station shook and she got them to check the air vents to see if life support was still online. Meanwhile she calms down the crowd of people in the cantina who are panicking.

After Aava and Macuy successfully cleared the Oort Cloud they pick up an automated distress signal from the station. They set course for the station with haste and soon find out the station has broken apart.

In the meantime Kial Valian finds out life support is offline. She gets everyone in the cantina to move back into the main hallway and also finds out the station has broken into pieces. She checks out the nearest escape pod and determines how many of the people she has with her can fit in the escape pods available.

Meanwhile Aava and Macuy get closer, looking for a place to dock safely so they can help. Aava tries to contact Kial Valian and succeeds. She then uses the Alulas sensors to pinpoint Kial Valians location.

Kial Valian determines the escape pods have only room for 18 people. Her group has 25 people including herself. She asks for six volunteers to help her search the rest of the station for others. After getting six they get the rest of the group into the escape pods and, after getting confirmation from Aava and Macuy, she launches the escape pods. Along with the volunteers, she starts searching the station.

Aava and Macuy make another pass around the station, scanning for additional signs of life and for anything of use as the Alula doesn't have the life support capacity to take everyone still on the part with Kial Valian. They find that only that part of the station still has atmosphere and find a shuttle with some minor damage. After contacting other mining vessels in the system and getting them to send help, Aava puts on a space suit and jumps over to the shuttle through space.

During her search, Kial Valian finds a nurse and two sick Rodians at a first aid station. Getting the group of volunteers back together, she moves the three back towards the escape pod airlocks. After waiting for Macuy to dock the Alula, the two Rodians and the nurse are taken inside the Alula. Then the Alula undocks.

In the meantime, Aava boards the shuttle and quickly brings it online. After docking at the same dock the Alula had been Kial Valian and the volunteers board the shuttle. After they undock, the Alula and the shuttle wait for the help from the mining vessels to arrive to take care of the escape pods. Finally they head back to Unity and complete their mission.
