The site of the Baddow Fields Power Station is situated on the canalized River Chelmer, between Little Baddow and Ulting, close to Chelmsford.

The power station is currently under construction, with temporary housing for the main generator and steam plant installed. Mr. Skerit oversees the day-to-day operations of the station and the construction of the buildings.

The assistant engineer, Mr. Bleke, reports monthly to Lady Gallorett mostly on the going-ons and construction progress of the power station, as well as the current situation of the temporary setup.
