Table of Contents

This is a list of active and future plans as well as todo's for Sir di Grimani.

Personal Goals

When The Opportunity Arises

  • Take revenge on the Bishop.
  • Maintain and grow The Greens.
  • Groom Johan to be a ghoul. Di Grimani has paid for his schooling.
  • Maintain a spiritual relationship with Lady Eagleton.
  • Find out if Miss Piercy has a birthmark by painting her.
  • Obtain forgiveness from Lady Northall. Lady Northall wants favours for the clan before discussing terms for forgiveness.
Event Date Location Programme
Grand Opening Wednesday January 27 Lower Galleries The Small Lower Gallery will be used to greet arrivals. A prominent artist (Berthe Morisot, Sir Luke Fildes or Gustave Courbet) will open for Di Grimani, who will then hold a speech of his own. A prize is also announced: visitors can buy tickets for the most promising artist on display in the exhibit and put these in an electoral box. The most popular ‘promising artist’ will receive a prize to go towards developing their work. After that, the Grand Lower Gallery is officially opened for business with a ribbon-cutting.
Future Ball Saturday January 30 Grand Lower Gallery Most of the furniture will be cleared from the floor to make for a ball room. A talented young composer has been commissioned to write music that is both danceable and ‘futuristic’, though more traditional ‘folkish’ dance music will also be played.
Morisot Lecture: The Future Of Art Saturday February 6 Grand Lower Gallery Berthe Morisot will give a lecture on Impressionism and the Future of Art. Most of the event can likely be ‘assumed’, depending on the plans of the DM for Morisot.
Gustave Courbet Fundraiser Saturday February 13th Small Lower Gallery Di Grimani introduces the sad story of how the new French Republic has unfairly blamed Gustave Courbet for the destruction of a hideous pillar put up in the name of the ogre Napoleon. He needs money to rebuild his life and rededicate himself to his art. Mayhaps Lady Gallorett and/or Lord Falkland can help with organising the fundraiser, and work auctioneer, for a cut of the proceeds as an incentive.
Debate: Women and Work Saturday February 20th Small Lower Gallery A moderator from one of London’s debating societies has been solicited to preside over a formal debate with two teams of two speakers each, to decide the following question: “Will women work in the future?” Miss Gladstone will be permitted to join either team. Assuming she is in the affirmative, she is joined by a dour dyed in the wool upper middle class feminist, who will contend that women will be able to do all the work that men do, save for soldiering and manual labour, because ‘the male biology is eminently more suitable for such’. She’ll also try to steer the topic to suffrage a lot. They will be opposed by a representative of the Unions, who will argue that wages should be raised so that a family will not have to require women to work, and a Tory Church of England clergyman who will argue that the place of women is at home. Speakers are given set amounts of time to argue their point of view in the order of a formal debate. At the end of the debate, a vote is taken to determine a decision. If Miss Gladstone doesn’t join, the event still happens with a replacement, but does not need to be played out.
Marx and the Kindred Condition Saturday February 27th Small Lower Gallery The chairs in the small lower gallery have been arranged in a circle to suggest equality. Di Grimani will open with a reading from his thesis, which will have been spread in the Kindred community beforehand. The intent is an academic debate between Kindred.
End-of-season Saturday March 6th Grand Lower Gallery The participating artists are feted and the winner of the competition is revealed, and a prize awarded.
