==== Character History ==== Voodoo Alderwood was raised in the lifestyle of the Gaian Naton. He was the offspring of two kinfolk who joined a biker community in the seventies during the Free Love Movement. They were activists and he was always 'aware' of who he was and his place in the Nation... as it were. Because of his Lax Upbring no real attention was ever given as to whether or not he was a Garou, or a Kinfolk. However, he did catch the notice of a Metis Theurge of the Tribe deeded... Summer of 69 who took the boy under her wing, teaching him rituals and nurturing his love of learning. His ethical code was strong and he was always one to champion the others around him even during episodes of bullying or social oppression. His first true interactions with the Spirits began after his first change at the age 15. Per the Customs of his tribe his Rite of Passage, he was to help a young Unicorn spirit find it’s way back home to the Tribal Grounds in the Umbra. With the aid of Summer of 69, he was able to speak with four ancestors, each one able to answer one question for him to help him find the unicorn, how to earn it’s trust, how to have it follow him, and most importantly where to take him. He spoke with his ancestors Jane “Defends the Faithful” Archelon, Captain John “Narwhal’s Horn” Alderwood, Harriet “Freedom’s Balm” Alderwood and Francis “Keeps the Peace” Alderwood. The first spiritual quest took him to deep Umbra, where he saw many odd and strange things. By trusting his spirit allies and the visions they gave him he was able to navigate through the realm and bring the unicorn home to the Children of Gaia tribal grounds. Upon completion and because of the faith he had in visions, and because his teacher was a fan of 60’s psychedelic rock, he was deeded Purple Haze. After becoming deeded, members of the War Pigs biker club came through and offer to prospect him. He joined the War Pigs after saving a club member from a grevious wound given by a black spiral dancer. He was later appointed as “Treasurer” which meant it was mostly his responsibility to deal with spirits and make sure chiminage was paid. It was during a trance of deep meditation in a sweat lodge in Arizona that he saw the vision of destruction as the Umbra Itself Shook with a great Tearing. He signed off on a club transfer to meet with other members who were in the area, and then made his way to New York. Ancestors Jane “Defends the Faithful” Archelon, Captain John “Narwhal’s Horn” Alderwood, Harriet “Freedom’s Balm” Alderwood and Francis “Keeps the Peace” Alderwood.
