- Tianxia was born far from native lands of the Uktena, in a Shen Court of China near the sea in the proximity of Korea and Japan. His father was an ambassador of the Sunset People, trying to share learning between them and open ideas that many were adverse to. [sidebar:right] Xiao Tian's Curse is fashioned after the **Flashbacks** Flaw, however instead of getting struck with past events, he is witness to things he hasn't experienced. [/sidebar] - Unfortunately, his mother's family were cursed with uncontrollable far-reaching visions. Visions that were of no immediate relevance or understanding, often of things that affected people across the globe or so far into the future to have little affect on what one were to do in this moment. These did not always wait until he slept, causing him to fall into a momentary stupor that left others questioning his mental capacity. - As a coping mechanism, Tian turned to looking at the bright side of things. Trying to understand his feelings and trusting what he knew, as well as learning more about the strange world he was born into. Looking for a way to move above the doom-and-gloom of his affliction. It was never easy, though, and people often discounted him for the superficial even when he tried to offer up his insight into things. - After his father died when he was sixteen, he moved to the States to spend time with his paternal Grandmother and tried to integrate into the Nation. As a modern youth, he was able to keep up with all his favourite entertainments from Asia on the computer, and started making his own stories to make a little money. - Most recently, he has gotten himself a scholarship to NYU. He's kept to himself fairly often, feeling sorely out of place around the Sunset People he had not known til recent years. Still, his roommate was one of the Fury kin, hounding him to put himself forward to lend a hand however he could.
