Sheriff Harburger—watch out when you take Gyp and his gang up the long steps at Ossining. Kitty the Second and his bunch will be there hiding in the rocks to shoot you up and rescue them.

— A Well-Wisher

Harry Horowitz was a gangster. Harry was supposed to have met his end in the chair on April 14th, 1914. This, however, did not come to pass. Whoever it was that fried that day, it wasn't Harry.

The anonyomous "Well-Wisher" was someone who wanted the Sheriff looking out for an ambush while they swapped out the man in the prisoner transport. Why the Brujah saved Gyp the Blood and made him one of theirs is anyone's guess, Harry has never talked of it, nor has he mentioned who among the clan ghouled him, and then embraced him. It is known that for decades he served as a front-line soldier for the clan first as a ghoul, then as one of the Kindred, though.

Harry's nights of fighting is over, according to himself. He lives on top of a shoemaker/shoe repair shop in Harlem, and looks over descendants to the Horowitz name.

He's also still got an ear to the street, though, and a few of his connections are with "Undzer Shtik", the Kosher Nostra, or simply the Jewish mob.

If asked why he's not a Primogen, Harry will mumble something and curse in Yiddish, before staring the questioner down.

Unlike the mugshot, the undead Harry has a permanent five o'clock shadow, unless he shaves. He's a short figure, 5'5" and about 140 pounds, dressed sharply in suits that'd make the Ventrue green with envy, the once criminal thug is now growing into something else.
