Notes

Born: 1895, London. -Middle class family, father was a medical doctor -Initially planned to follow his father into medicine. -Conscripted in 1916 for the Great War. Served as a junior doctor and saw the horrors of war. -Continued as a doctor after the war, developed an interest and specialism in mental health, seeing so many ‘shell-shocked’ soldiers. Networked with Freud, Jung and either figures of the time. Came to believe in the use of hypnosis for treatment. Spent years developing his talents in this area, even after Freud himself abandoned it. -Married to Sarah, who he met while she was a nurse during the war. -Son Arthur born 1923 Embraced: 1926 (age 31) -Sire: Edward Bainbridge (NPC from the London by Night book) -His developments in hypnosis attracted the attention of Clan Tremere, interested in this new ‘science’ and its relationship to dominate. -Spent 2 years as an apprentice of the first circle, limited to the chantry of London, required to study. -1928: Presented to Prince Mithras and acknowledged. Raised to apprentice of the second circle by Pontifex Dr. John Dee. -Spent the next few decades working as an apprentice of Clan Tremere, doing low level tasks and engaging in research. -in these early years gad 'issues' when ordered to killwould try to achieve tasks in over-complicated ways to avoid causing harm to mortals (i.e. breaking his hippocratic oath and going against the high humanity he had at this time). This would sometimes result in failing taks or failing to cover up properly. After a nasty mess-up he was bound to the Clan, partly as part of a task, due to his high humanity and hippocratic oath. Bound to the Clan as a punishment amdnd also to 'fix' thiwhat was seen by the regent as a weakness. -Maintained some contacts with the medical professional as these were deemed useful to the clan, but generally forbidden from contact with his mundane family. Tried to follow themir progress from a distance. Torpor: 1941 - His wife died during the German bombing of London during the second world war. When he found out, grief drove him into torpor. Awake from Torpor: 1966 - rReturned to working for the clan, doing research and running tasks. Tremere rank rose and fell over the years after successes and failures, currently apprentice of the 3rd circle. While he was 'efficient' rather than deliberately bloody, the strain of these activities gradually lowered his humanity during this time. -On occasion, would demonstrate his hypnosis talents as an artform to embrace toreador at soires / elysium gatherings. Privately disliked using ithis science for entertainment. Transferred to the New York chantry: 2020 - as part of apprentice trading between the regents.
