She had a pretty regular childhood in the beginning. She was adopted by the Michaelson family (non kinfolk) and never really knew her biological parents. Nor did a child from the age of 1 even know that the parents who would raise her would be anything but her parents. Her hometown was in the city of Seattle. They lived in a pretty rough part, but her parents doted on her as their only child and did the best they could to raise her with good values in a terrible world. Though the Michaelson’s were good parents, they were far from good people. Ms Michaelson had a drinking habit and was constantly obsessing over what she didn't have. Mr Michaelson was a womanizer and adulterer. He also had contacts within the local gangs which kept his business from ever being targeted by them. They tried to hide it from their daughter. But she was not stupid. Far from it. But because of it they would have to move a few different times. However, Britt would recover and make new friends. Start a new life. Their final destination would be Albany, NY. She was a prodigy. She got things, and got them quickly. She knew they had their problems, but she loved them anyway. She tried hard to be the child they wanted her to be. Get the good grades, be a good kid. Her only drawback was her parents were not very rich, they could not afford much for her. But she didn't care. She made the best of what she could. Her relationship with them was pretty decent. They loved her and even with their flaws did their best for her. Her favorite thing to do was to collect bottle caps. It was her goal to collect one of all the variations that existed. There was a nearby store she would venture to that sold old time antiques and oddities. It was her favorite place to be. Going into school she would play different sports, do her work and graduate the top of her class at the early age of 16. Due to financial constraints a university was not in her stars. So local college it was. She would work until she was 18 saving all she could then move out, finding a better a small job at a local 7/11 and go attempt to get a better education for a better life. That is until things changed for her forever and this life would be left behind. ---- ---- When the change first came on, she started to notice things. Things that were off. She didn't know it at the time but she had started to see into the umbra. See the spirits. She didn't know that her true mother was a garou (a theurge by the name of Spirits Darkness) and that blood coursed through her veins. While it occurred late in her life. It was happening to her and she didn't know how to handle it. She thought she was going crazy as the spirits began to talk to her, constantly plaguing her and asking her for help. Some just taunted her trying to drive her further insane. She became distant from her friends and moody. She avoided people and did what she had to at work and school, returning home to brood and hope the voices would go away. She told no one about what was going on. She was afraid of being institutionalized. This would proceed for months as she tried to suppress her anger, her fear. It proved to be very distracting. So distracting she would never see the assault coming as she walked home from work one night. Never see the privileged white college boy that thought he could get away with doing what he wanted to a poor girl. No one would believe her, he had the money to get whatever he wanted. He would attack her in a remote location, though what he thought happened was far from what he could ever think would happen to him. His mark, turned into a 9ft tall blender of death. The hit was the final straw, her vague loss of consciousness would be all that it needed for the wolf to be set free and it wanted revenge. The white boy would run. Which only made matters worse for him. The enraged wolf would follow charging after him right into a warehouse where a rave was going on. Due to shitty planning, no fire escapes, or other ways out. No one would leave that warehouse alive and when she came too, heard the sirens, saw she was naked, covered in blood and all the bodies. Her mind snapped. She lost it and would run from the scene. (and what she didn't know was a pack of Gnawers was arriving right as she left. They knew there was a cub in the area..but just missed her. However they cleaned up her mess by burning the building down so cause of death could not be determined). She would steal clothes off a line. She would wander away, far away. Out of the city. She had no mental control of herself, She herself had checked out and was running on autopilot. Days, weeks, months went by. She would beg or steal for food, scrounge around. Her mind went in a downward spiral until ultimately it shut down. She had no control over her changing and her random patterns made it hard for that Gnawer pack that was tracking her to find her. Using reports of wolf sightings, or monster sightings to track her. She was no better than a wild animal at this point. Eventually she would gain some semblance of control over her shifting out of self preservation, settling into Lupus as it was easier for finding food not as weak as the fleshy form and she would find her way into the wolf pen at the Zoo during one night. They fed her and she was the strongest of those present. There she would sit under the noses of the Garou for a while. A lost cub, with a lost mind. She would be almost 23 when she would be forced to abandon her life as a Zoo wolf. She was the alpha of the pack and dominated the wolves there. But, the enemy knew what a Garou looked like when they saw it. At the same time, the Gnawer pack would track her down finally after hunting her for 4 years. The two would arrive to take the cub at the same time and a battle would ensue. When the fight was over they took her back to the Sept and would evaluate her and try their best to help her. She was non-verbal. She wouldn’t speak or even look at anyone. They tried their hardest to figure it out. Their only indication that she was not too far gone and sick to the point of needing a Rite of Winter Wolf was the fact that she would interact with a rat spirit. The very rat spirit that plagued the sept biting anyone that came close to it, and sometimes just because. The spirit and her formed a strong bond. Friendship. This was good enough for the Grand Elder to keep working to bring her back. It would take a year to get her back to a normal homid state where she was talking and interacting. However, all her memories. Everything of her past was gone. She didn't remember who she was. It was as if she never was, and then was a wolf. Then a woman. Finally a Garou. They would educate her and she would spend time with a mentor, Copper-Top learning the ways of a Bone Gnawer Theurge. Her ROP would be to handle the voices, the spirits. Making amends with them and getting them under control so she wasn't being assaulted by them. She would become a part of the rabble. She is now a functioning member of society though she has no real care for material things. Some things are cool to her. She likes Stuff. But she doesn't care for riches. The only thing she still cares for and likes to collect and trade like they are a currency is bottle caps. Which is where she earned her deed name from. The Gnawers helped her drudge up a van to sleep in. Helped her fix it and helped her get a few things. They gave her a new identity of Mallory Logan. Her last name after her mentor who brought her back to sanity. She would eventually leave Albany and roam the area. She landed in New York for a short time. There, she would work as a lone wolf, with no pack. Helping but never joining. But she didn’t feel she needed a pack. She had her spirit friends, her Rat Numen, Mr Bitey and she made a powerful ally in City Father. She would work at doing her duty as a Theurge and Garou. She was known for her ability to move about the city and be one within it. To know the streets and the spirits within. She would fight the wyrm, but her real goal was focused on helping city father. For this she would earn the renown need for achieving fostern. Her fostern challenge would happen, she would challenge another ‘gnawer Theurge and be challenged to make a fetish that would be gifted to the City Father. For her this was a great honor. She would spend hours working on it. Crafting the vessel, It was simple, but for a city it had meaning. It was a key. A key made from the bones of fallen garou. Sealed with her own blood, and it dangled on a leather necklace. She called it the Key to the City. It was designed to give the wearer the ability to navigate the city without having to know where things were, to disappear from one alley in the city and appear in another. Finally, to have instant rapport with the locals. It was a powerful fetish. When the vessel was complete she set out to fight the right spirits to go within it. When that was complete she would show the fetish to her mentor, earn her rank then gift the key to City Father. From then on she was Fostern. She would set about doing what she did best. Collecting bottlecaps, and working to better the city and tribe. She hoped one day they could oust the wyrm from the caern and retake it but, it was a tall order as she knew they were rooted in and deep. During this time she would make a stronger connection with City Father. One that even she didn't expect. It would leave her pregnant and soon to bear his twins. When she found out she was with child, it would not take long for mysterious gifts to just...show up at her van. She had yet to tell her elders what she knew. Not sure how they would react. For now it was her secret. Her new focus would be to find a pack, as she knew she really needed one now. To protect her babies and herself. If the enemy knew she had the children of the City they would use them to control it. Merits and Flaws: Wolf Sight 1pt: Time spent in her wolf form has changed her. Was it a supernatural thing that let her see as her wolf form does? Give her better night vision make the world more vibrant? Who knows? It is just how she sees the world now. Spirit Magnet 2pt: Since she started down the path of her first change spirits have plagued her. They want her help. They want her to do things for them. Or on the rare occasion it is a bane that attacks her. But it is something she has learned to deal with that the spirits surround her. Phobia 3:Crowded Rooms. While she doesn't remember her human life, the fear of a crowded room still sits with her. She gets nervous and it impedes her ability to function. Nightmares 1pt: She dreams of what she doesn't remember. Murdering in a fit of first change frenzy and entire room of young adults as well as her attacker. This wakes her up in cold sweats. She doesn't want this to ever happen again. Lost Homid 1pt: Her mind snapped when she realized what she had done. To protect her, she doesn't remember anything before waking up in the zoo. Her entire zombie stated roaming through LA , the rave, and her entire life forgotten.
