A tiny, brownstone corner building on a busy street in Park Slope, the main office of A Safe Harbor is a quaint setting surrounded by maintained pollen-producing flower and community produce gardens. Several steps lead to the white-washed entrance where more edible plants hang adding splashes of greenery and color. It is a welcoming place. The door opens to a reception area with comfortable couches and mismatched chairs that were likely donated pieces. An office to the left of the entryway is Myra’s domain with an oversized mahogany desk, three ‘audience’ chairs, and shelves of books on women’s studies. The building also boasts a small breakroom, a janitor's closet, and a non-public restroom. The upstairs is sectioned off by a rope chain and a sign that reads, “Do Not Cross.” Those who do make their way upstairs find another office, this one belonging to [[Sasha Vallis]]. It is spartan in appearance. A single desk and office chair occupy a small space with no additional seating. A laptop computer and one lone blooming cactus on the desk’s surface are the room's only adornment. The open space outside the office has been converted to a place of gathering with more couches and chairs, tables housing magazines, and a limited view of the shelter's playground from its rear-facing windows
