The Tremere have always been the support of the Camarilla, it's base and part of it's power. More so in New York than elsewhere, the [[Chantry of Five Boroughs]] is renowned world wide for it's show of adaptability and of how Thaumaturgy can be used to combat the enemies of the Sect. One of the reasons the Camarilla even lasted in New York spells the Tremere, and everyone knows it. No small part of that was due to the former Regent of the Chantry, Aisling Sturbridge. She is now appointed Pontifex of the Region, as the predecessor Peter Dorfmann is believed to have been slain when Washington DC fell to the Sabbat.
The new Regent of the Chantry is [[Cliff Morris]] a relatively unknown Tremere, at least outside the Chantry. He and the Primogen are a unified front, at least outwardly, though rumors has it that [[Leanna Raycraft]] has a different agenda than the Regent. Then again, as masters of illusions, the presented view of the Tremere of New York should probably not be taken at face value. The deceptions of the clan in the city run so deep that even members of the clan themselves have trouble keeping up.
