Character History

Astrid was born and raised in Landskrona, Sweden near a small sept, she grew up aware of what her family was. Mother would tell stories of how she was a shield maiden to her father, and covered her fathers back in combat. But, as far as Astrid knew that was just a story. Mother taught her how to manage hearth, and home. How to calm the savage beast, father was kind for a True Born, and spoiled Astrid. He enjoyed her moxie, but always tried to temper it so that she did not do something stupid.

Beyond her blood, she was a average child who lived a average life among the Sept. The only thing she really had going for her, as far as she was concerned: was that she was quick and cute.

When she came of age, she went into the armed forces not only as it was required of the citizens, but also to become something more then average. She found her nitch in that through hard work, she was comfortable with a gun.

She was stationed in Afghanistan for a short time, and saw combat. She was sent home after she was wounded in a engagement, that night is one she can not escape and still has moments of ...not being sure if she is home, or still in the theater. She has a bit of PTSD.

Going home, she found that her father had died, and that her brother who was true born was going to New York to prove himself outside of his fathers shadow. She opted to go with her brother. Before she left, her mother gave her a blade, a fetish so that when she was mated, they would be bound.

In New York, she found a job as a gun instructor: She only worked a week while her brother looked for others, but instead ran into trouble he couldn't handle He managed to get home to her before succumbing to his wounds and dying. She never did find out what happened exactly. But she wants to do just that.

Unsure if he was followed, she left and went looking for her own kind too.

Garou of Note:

Baduhenna's Shadow. During the Roman Invasion of Germany, this Ahroun and her pack was instrumental in retrieving pre-changed cubs and kinfolk who were captured for the Ludus.

Beyond the Pale - The Thirty Year War with Austria was ended when this Ragabash effectively perpetuated the idea that residents of a state were subject to the laws of that state and not to those of any other institution, secular or religious.

Fenris' Fortunate Son - During the Vietnam War this Galliard was instrumental in War Time Photography, News Articles, and Stories of Valor. His words and heroic Umbral deeds changed national negative sentiment that was given toward American soldiers both during and following the war.
