Alaine Campbell is a New York City firefighter from the Bronx. She is known for her bravery and incredible strength even in her mortal guise. Though not so large as many trolls she is just as strong: it comes down to nobility and an indomitable spirit. This is what caught the Countess's eye when she came to House Beaumayn for aid two years ago.

Alaine's two held Oaths: Her Oath of Loyalty to House Beaumayn and an Oath to "provide all possible aid to fallen enemies of Kith and Kin", meaning medical treatment and safe passage for defeated Kithain and humans alike, but no quarter required for inhuman monsters.

Oath of Accepted Burden to Rowan, promising to teach her how to to be a true knight and warrior, and fight alongside her until she is ready to set out on her own adventure as a warrior of House Beaumayn.

Treasure: The Lucky Jacket raises the difficulty of damaging those who wear it by 2. Attacks are drawn to whatever object the wearer bears in the breast pocket - a flask, a deck of cards, a bible - and that object is instead damaged or destroyed. As a result, it only stops the first three (?) attacks made against the wearer in a scene.
