Using Tags in the Forum

Tags are a way to mark and organize threads in the forums. They are a signal to other players about the type or content of the thread, and can be used to create lists of threads.

You can add tags to a thread when you creating or editing one. They are listed at the top of the edit menu, just under the thread title as displayed in the sidebar on the right.

Tips & Tricks

Tags have many different uses. Here are a few we found useful:

  • Sheetwork requests which have been completed may be marked with 'Completed' or 'Done' to make it clear they no longer require attention.
  • Rule discussions can be marked as such using tags, and can additionally be marked with 'Closed' once a decision has been reached. This allows you to keep a list of rule discussions that haven't been resolved yet using the [Show] formatting (see the 'show lists of things' help page)
  • Forum based adventures ran by a Storyteller can be marked as a 'Mission', 'Quest' or 'Adventure' to distinguish them from more casual roleplay, rumours, etc.
  • If other players are welcome to join in a forum roleplay on their own initiative, marking a thread as 'Open' can make it clear they are welcome
