Rani is nearly the spitting image of her mother Katrina Frost except that she has blondish hair instead of dark. She also has the extra inch that her mother lacks standing at three foot even.

She was born the oldest of three triplets, by minutes ahead of her sister Prilla Frost and brother Milo Frost Original and shortly became the most adventurous of the trio.

As a child, she took after her mother becoming a dancer and escapes. She also loved to be underwater and often played as a 'mermaid' - under supervision of course from either her mother, sister or brother. At seven she actually started performing her own acts in the water tank much to the delight of the crowd - and her mother.

She was also fascinated with the underwater cultures and, at an early age, wanted to learn more about then. So, for a while, she was fostered out to House Atianna to learn the way of diplomacy. She also attended an Aventi school (thanks to several donated casts of Waterbreathing on her) where she made quite a few friends and sometimes amazed her classmates with what she could do. She also got close to some of the Aventi girls and sometimes could be found cuddling up to them - as Aventi are want to do. Even if they were naked, that didn't faze her - until she reached puberty.

Puberty was a stressful time for Rani. Her early teen years were full of rebellion. It didn't help that Prilla, who could usually keep Rani's temper and emotions in check and acted as her confident was away a lot with Blair learning the ways of the druid. Plus, after the Cataclysm, Katrina was so busy dealing with the aftermath and the changes to her own abilities that she couldn't spend the time that she used to with Rani. Mother and daughter used to be very close but as the days past they drifted apart.

Rani was really confused by the turmoil on her mind that she kept away from her Aventi friends and felt ashamed at the feelings she was feeling when they had been together. Plus she discovered she had a crush on another childhood friend she used to play with as a child and started avoiding her too. Finally, it got too much and, after an argument really blew up, she angrily left Frost Manor leaving a devastated Katrina behind and ended up moving into a place by herself. She even kept blocking Kat's attempts at telepathy, a bond that they had developed and shared earlier.

Maybe she had a deathwish but some of the escapes she designed and used were rather risky, leading to the nickname 'Reckless Rani'. Katrina wanted to interfere but thought that would only make things worse. She just hoped all the safety lessons she had taught Rani would still stick. She did however, very discretely, keep an eye on her wayward daughter. If she couldn't, Milo was fortunately able to.

At this stage, Rani regrets her actions and has only just reconciled with her mother. She is still not sure what she is going to do next but she hopes she can find new friends to help her, and maybe get her old friends back.

The Cataclysm also left it's mark on Rani. As well as timejumping her seven years into the future, it also gave her rainbow hair, That faded a short while later but, anytime Rani has a spell or power on her that has a duration, such as her psionic armour, endure elements, or waterbreathing, her hair turns rainbow for the duration.

As well as earning coin by busking, she has taken on a part time job at the Aquatic Embassy
