This magical phenomena causes the area under it to suffer the effects of frustration, anger, impatience, and generally enough irritation to promote violence. It is as if positive and peaceful emotions are being sucked off.
The physical manifestation of the miasma appears to be a dark grey to black cloud layer that looks like it's about to drop rain at any time. It does not get affected by any winds and blocks the light from the sun. Basically it looks like a dull overcast day that just keeps hanging around.
At the moment it is not known where it came from, who or what is responsible for it, and what their intentions are.
It first appeared for a week above a small village near Bloodport before disappearing without known cause. It then appeared above Duirt and had to be dissipated by a powerful druid performing a curious ritual consisting of several strange ingredients.
Some of the ingredients were:
- Wooden holy symbol
- Some bat guano
- Stolen soup
- Sock worn by a Gnome
- Coin stolen from another's purse
- The preserved Heart of a Goblin
- "A beautiful death"
- Shell worn by a mermaid
- Dull scale from a bronze dragon
- Feather taken from an unsuspecting druid's form
- Water containing Essence of Halfling
- A tile taken from the Cathedral roof
- Six pairs of shoes (or boots)
- A hair from the head of the Cardinal
- The head of a Goblin
- The scream of a terrified man
- A preserved Heart of a Goblin
- A candle from a Crypt
- Killed Seagull
- Lullaby
- Suspicious stew
- Used copy of the laws for the central quarter
It is currently thought that the appearance near Bloodport was a test run and Duirt was the actual planned target but, for what reason, still remains unknown.
