Letter to Judge Heggir

Your Honour,

Myself and a few others were able to find the rally that was advertised on those posters. It was held in a rather poor section of the Maze full of buildings in bad need of repair and full of rather poor and desperate people. And it was these people that 'Father' was enlisting and subverting to his cause. And this cause was rather dire. He was 'convincing' people to congregate in Market Square in a couple of days and rise up in revolution against the status quo (which, in my opinion, the nobility should be doing more to help the people).

He then mentioned .Mother' who we had been sure had been destroyed before the Cataclysm (although this could be one from another reality) and also mentioned an entity called Lolth who I later discovered was a demon and the Spider Queen of the drow. She may be a Power that is attempting to take over this city and spread her influence all over Duirt.

I also beg your indulgence of taking a day off my Community Sentence in order to research this Lolth demon further but I will make that up later.

Your obedient servant,

Lady Rani Frost.

While I appreciate your investigation along with that of the others my dear lady we shall take full precautions and be prepared for this so called rally. The Central Quarter thanks you for the information on this potential development. Armed guards shall be present armed with the means to subdue the crowd using "non lethal" methods when and if it occurs.

At this point in time ALL quarters are trying to rebuild. There is only so much one can do at a time and it is NOT the responsibilities of the nobles to help the people in my Quarter. Nobles have never had a say in what goes on in the Central Quarter as we are considered neutral territory.

The Central Quarter is working as fast as it can to alleviate the devastation everywhere. I assure you no one is getting any "special treatment" and the Maze and all of the outlying areas will be taken care of and restored for the better.

As far as your Community Service Sentence being reduced I am afraid that is not possible my lady. While your investigation was truly appreciated please continue to "serve" in the capacity you have been ordered to do so and finish out your sentence.

Kindest Regards

Magistrate Heggir

Rani finishes reading the reply.

"Hmph. I think he misread me. I didn't say reduce the sentence .. I said taking a days break and making it up later ... *shrugs* I guess he meant I had to serve it it one lump. So be it. This Lolth ... may have to wait."
