Riyadh is a city in the west of the Samangan region with a population of 9000 in the city itself, and about 3000 spread over hamlets in the valley. Due to an exceedingly high number of oases in the valley the whole valley can be used to grow crop and raise prime cattle. The valley can only be reached by a heavily defended pass from al-Mansur.

The valley was conquered by the Serpents of Igani on 770, 6 Resplendent Air.
