The al-Safahr clan rules over the western part of Sayati, with their seat of power in Khoy. The al-Safahr clan contains roughly 20 dragon-blooded.

The al-Safahr clan was formed by the brother of an early al-Qureshi emperor. The brother preferred to start his own clan, and distance himself from the throne, rather than be executed.
