Princess Adiba is the oldest daughter sired by sultan Selim al-Najib. Her mother passed away while giving birth to her second daughter.

Due to her outspoken and loudly vocalised opinion about her suitors she is still unmarried. The princess has a tendency to rebel and behaves very independent, something that has already caused some grief to the sultan and his family.

In a bid to control her and maybe change her attitude toward marriage the sultan, Selim al-Najib, assigned Adiba as a ward to his wife Azizah.
