A Jedi Master is a Jedi who has not only completed their training but has advanced to the highest level. Jedi masters can be invited to sit on the Jedi Council, and most will eventually do so. Jedi Masters can assign lower ranking Jedi to missions.

A Jedi Master has shown a deep understanding of the Jedi code, and has demonstrated a keen insight into the morality and implications of the light virtues.
