This week we've worked on some improvements to RPGpad, focussing on proper help pages and some internal cleanup. As promised, this week's blog post Styling Wrap-up talks about the new forms.

Forms

• Input fields are now looking and working the same on all browsers and devices.

• Input fields now have a small icon to clarify how your input is actually handled by RPGpad. These little icons are shown on most input fields, and help to distinguish between the different types of input (usernames, text without formatting, text with formatting, etc.).

Other

• Tags no longer have extra names. Nobody used this feature of tags, and the extra names were complicating the internals of RPGpad without providing the players and storytellers any significant benefit.

• There is now a minimum passwword length. New accounts and password changes now require a password of at least 6 characters long. There are no other constraints, since those only end up making it difficult for you to remember your password.

• We have added proper help pages for the things you can do in formatted text. This replaces the Is there a manual on the syntax that can be used in pages? thread as the place to get your information about the formatted text. The benefit of per-campaign help pages is that we can automatically keep them in line with your campaign configuration.
