A billiard room is a larger recreation room, suited for gatherings to enjoy a drink in style and also engage in a little bit of friendly competition. These large spacious rooms usually came with proper lighting and clearance to play the game, along with a small bar and an adjoining smoking room and a ladies' lounge.
