The Magical, and Not So Magical Worlds

The City of New York, NY, USA

New York, New York, USA is a city that exists in the real world, and in our game is based off of that real world city. Here you can name, reference and even visit spaces that occupy the real city of New York, and have it maintain consistency with the In Character world. The game in this state will always use the time, weather, and real world events for any players and characters that are involved in scenes in the city of New York.

If you are playing a character that attends schooling in the real world, than you may reference and attend one of the real world schools IC. If your character has a job, you may reference any real world job in New York. However, all people, are to be purely fictional in character. Any likeness to real people both living and dead, should be purely coincidental.

There is not much more to say about New York, except that the doorway to the Magical World is located within the City Museum.

The Magical World of Vayle

Vayle is a land that exists on a parallel reality to New York State. The land has the same dimensions and contours, but that is where the similarity ends. Where a vast spread of city and Industry is in our world, is a sprawling vast wilderness with sprinkles of Villages, Academies and in the very center, a large fortress that contains the Arcane Headquarters of America.

Where more land would sprawl out from New York State, begins a vast ocean filled with dangers and wonders alike. Vayle is one of six lands that occupy the mystical world of magic. On the north eastern tip of Vayle is the village of Arlane, which houses Radcliffe Academy of Magical Arts (RAMA). The academy is where any students from the USA goes to study and learn their arcane ways.

Most students who are still in real world education, tend to give up their real world educations upon discovery of their Magical Heritage. Some however, try the tiring balance of maintaining both studies. Whichever is true for any person, there are a number of laws that prohibit the use of magic outside of the magical world without a license.
