Differences on Rastlar

[letter:holo] The homeplanet of the Ru'utkar people, Rastlar is a vast world full of warrior tribes which follow the law of might makes right. Heavily ritualistic and tribal, the Ru'utkar are known for their love of battle, and often send out their young to undergo a rite of passage designed to test their mettle in a dangerous and life threatening environment. While many might think the Ru'utkar to be savage and uncultured, their technology is on par with some of the most scientifically advanced communities - at least when it comes to weaponry and sciences revolving around that. Unlike many planets which gained culture after the great collapse after humans colonized it, Rastlar was populated by another race even before the humans which dominate it today. The humans and these creatures clashed initially, but eventually both entities came to understand each other due to mutual respect for the other's war-like tendencies. The reason for that was because amongst the humans were those who were blessed with the blood of the fallen moon god Luna, and who gained patronage from Rastlar's own moons, El'ar and Telduine. These wolves provided the original race of Ru'utkar with a challenge the species had not yet had the pleasure of facing - but it wasn't the warrior skills that kept these two races from killing each other off. It was the strange and mutable blood of the wolf-blooded, which allowed the two races to intermingle and become... something else. With the ability for the two races to form this bizarre union, it created a passageway to connect them beyond a simple love of war, and the humans were adopted by the original inhabitants. These days, there are technically three races on Rastlar - Human, Ru'utin, and Ru'utha, but this distinction is made by outsiders - not the Ru'utkar themselves. [/letter]
