Differences on character creation
---- Ability Scores: ----
We are using a standard array (Custom) to generate characters here. This array is to be placed on your character BEFORE racial ability adjustments are made.
Please note: Humans have the Variant trait where they may increase 2 different ability scores by +1 in exchange to gaining +1 Skill Proficiency and a feat. HOWEVER: In Paradise Island Humans can instead choose to increase 1 ability score by +2 for this trait.

|| 12 ||
|| 11 ||
|| 10 ||
OPTION: You can take an 8 instead of a 10 and doing so can change your 13 to another 14 (16, 14, 14, 12, 11, 8) If you choose this option, Please notate it in your character notes.
---- Ability Score Increases: ----
During character leveling and advancements, you may opt to forgo any ability score increases to instead gain a feat (If that feat has an ability score increase, you may apply that)
---- Equipment ----
Each player begins play with their class options for equipment. You may spend any starting gold you have on new equipment.
---- Starting Level ----
All characters start at level 1.
---- Advancement ----
Experience gain is as standard out of the book
---- Level Cap ----
Currently there is no level cap outside of the game standard (20). Should this be changed in the future, there will be an announcement, however we do not have any plans to undercut this cap. (We may however go into "epic" leveling, depending on player base, interest and DM activity.)
---- Starting ----
You should be playing your character for the first time, recently arriving on the island. No more than a week. If you have character(s) who have been here a while, feel free to take new characters in and show them the ropes. New characters should have fun exploring the wonder, confusion and danger of Paradise Island.
