Tobias Van Dorn has stalked the Earth for several centuries and has resisted torpor of any great length thus far. He remembers Edwardian then Victorian Europe, the Great War, the second World War, and it was this last which destroyed his holdings in Germany and resulted in his move to the United States. He established himself in the air industry as it was first rising and now is immensely wealthy, and influential, for it. He owns the Governor Wright Airport in Upper Paradi and uses it as a base of operations many nights. Through a triumvirate with Athiee and Emily Rose, and with aid from his childe, Jonathan, Tobias recently seized control of Paradi City in a coup. Now, as High Prince, he lords over his new kingdom of the restless dead.

Tobias is a tall, handsome man if not striking in the way of his childe or Daeva counsel. The Invictus Ventrue is a lord at heart and it shows in his every action and bearing. His gaze is iron, his jaw steel, and his martial prowess is as potent as his razor tongue in Elysium. Tobias wears clothing that costs more than some nation’s national export and lives richer than any emperor ever dreamed of. He’s not afraid to show it.

The High Prince's reign is not uncontested and he hasn't had time to fully cement his hold on Paradi. There are cracks in the foundation, places where rebellion can ferment, and where sharp-toothed adversaries prepare to overthrow the "Tyrant King". Owls move in the night and ambitious rivals sharpen their knives to act before the newly proclaimed High Prince anchors his talons into the city.
