Lost Soul in a Senseless World
Background
Jessica Thomas is one of a million lost souls within Paradi City. Born and raised in the Middle Level, she developed an affinity for tech from a young age and won a few awards in school for it which translated into absolute dick in the real world. She also grew up with the ability to see spirits, ghosts, and other ephemeral entities which really fucked up her perspectives of the world. She couldn’t afford college and both her parents are terminal with health problems due to working close to the core. She turned to drugs to block her troubles out and only made more. She ended up working out at the gym where Hudson trains. Both the werewolf and Aimers took a liking to her. The Rahu sensed she was Blooded and helped make sense of a lot of the odd things in her life for her. She was brought in to the pack to help cover more technical aspects, which she excels at.
Description
Jessica is pretty but not beautiful; she’d be beautiful if she bothered to take care of herself a little better. She’s perpetually rail thin and not in the model way, more borderline anorexic. She has dark marks under her eyes which she conceals with makeup and her hands tremor from stress. She has dark brown hair that she keeps long and wears dark clothing to boot.
Storytelling Hints
You grew up confused in a world that didn’t make sense. A lot of it still doesn't. But thanks to the pack, some of it is starting to. You’re frustrated by the ever pressing weight on the downtrodden but you don’t care about other people you don’t know as much as you might say otherwise. You want to be a success story, not another loser. You want to be able to pay for your parents to have hospice. You want to crawl out of the gutter. You want to not fall off the wagon because Hudson said he’d break a limb if he caught you smoking H again. Fuck.

Aspirations
- Police the web on the pack’s behalf for both information and enemies, using her talents to aid the hunt.
- Start her own dot-com business, whether legitimate or not, and escape the endless poverty.
Tell: Piercing Eyes
The characters eyes, literally, pierce the Twilight. She has unusually colored, uncommonly vibrant eyes that catch the light in the way a wolf’s might at night. They are difficult to conceal, and the shine happens even if she’s wearing contact lenses. She can see things that normal people think aren’t there, and can’t stop seeing them.
Boon: Her eyes see through to the other side. She can perceive all manner of Twilight creatures. Ghosts, spirits, and angels are as clearly visible to her as other human beings are to everyone else. She cannot deactivate this ability.
Eye for the Strange (••)
Prerequisite: Resolve ••, Occult •
Effect: While your character does not necessarily possess a breadth of knowledge about the supernatural, she knows the otherworldly when she sees it. By perusing evidence, she can determine whether something comes from natural or supernatural origins. Roll Intelligence + Composure. With a success, the Storyteller must tell you if the scene has a supernatural cause, and provide one piece of found information that confirms the answer. With an exceptional success, she must give you a bit of supernatural folklore that suggests what type of creature caused the problem. If the problem was mundane, an exceptional success gives an ongoing +2 to all rolls to investigate the event, due to her redoubled certainty in its natural causation.
Ghost Child (••)
Prerequisites: Wolf-Blooded
Effect: Some Wolf-Blooded aren’t just unaffiliated, but straight up resist any tie or bind to a Firstborn’s family line. In these rare cases, the Wolf-Blooded can show intense commitment to the pack, but little else. They excel at resisting commitment. Any Skills they have at one to three dots gain the 9-again quality. Any Skills they have at four or five dots lose the 10-again quality. They excel at being noncommittal.
