Farrah's Friends and Ex-Roomates
Brianna and Willie were Farrah McKinley's roommates before she relocated to the Fortress with The Broken-Chain (Pack).
Brianna is an older woman, if early thirties is considered ‘old’, though she easily looks ten years more advanced. A combination of hard living and a hard life has taken its toll on what, in youth, were quite pretty features. She smells of stale cigarette smoke more often than perfume these days and her voice has a bit of that raspy edge to it. Farrah knows she used to have issues with shooting up which she largely got under control a few years ago… still, every now and then Farrah will find a rubber band and a carefully wrapped needle in the trash. Brianna doesn’t do it often but it’s a demon she just hasn’t been able to fully excise from her life. She can be a touch matronly however, which can be endearing or annoying, but she does have a genuine sense of empathy for people. One of those women whose difficulties have made her more sensitive to others, instead of hardening her. She might be a part-time druggie and a thief, but that does make her a step above many others in this town.
Willie, by contrast, is about Farrah’s age and possesses much of the beauty that Brianna left behind. Her moniker is short for Wileheminia though she prefers to go by the nickname. English isn’t her first language but she speaks it fluently enough with traces of her Mexican accent. She’s a server at some dive restaurant called ‘Dons’, Farrah’s been there once or twice and it wasn’t anything special, and like her is struggling more often than not on stingy tips and creepoid customers.
Willie is nice enough but she’s got an edge, the daughter of immigrants who migrated north to the Paradise City and each promptly died of pneumonia within two years. Willie’s still sore about that and is a sometimes-advocate for living conditions and the working class… but like many other things in this town, no one really gives a shit outside of her circle. Willie has also been learning some of the finer points, like Farrah, of larceny from Brianna.
Recently, a trip to Upper Paradise to rob a home. which one of Brianna’s tips said was empty. resulted in the two coming back rattled to their cores and speaking about the corpse that had been in the house. The police came pounding on the door, and both the roommates fled, with Willie getting a stoned Brianna out.
The girls holed up at the home of Willie’s ex, a man named David, closer to the Core. They left a note for Farrah in the freezer of the old apartment which the latter found upon returning with Iron-Eyes to get her stuff. The werewolf and blooded then proceeded to David’s where they found Bri, semi-alert, and spewing words in the same strange language that Farrah sometimes heard her voices use. Something was taking a physical toll on Bri and the woman looked like death warmed over. A spirit was inside of her, Iron Eyes revealed, and with Farrah’s help they got it out to save her life.
