Character Headers and Sidebars

No tags

For those interested in being able to post a character header, below is the format I used for Hudson in a recent post;

[ooc]

**Wyman "Hudson" Taylor**

Primal Urge 1 | Harmony 6 | Health (Uninjured) | Essence :7/10: | Willpower :5/5: | Hishu | Def 5 | Armor 1/0 (Leather Coat; Torso) | Fast Reflexes :3/3:, Fleet of Foot :3/3:, Iron Stamina :3/3: | Active Gifts: Warrior's Hide | Conditions (//Siskur-Dah//) | Tilts (None) | Renown: Cunning :1/1:, Glory :2/3:, Purity :2/2:

[/ooc]

Translates to;

Wyman "Hudson" Taylor

Primal Urge 1 | Harmony 6 | Health (Uninjured) | Essence 7 | Willpower 5 | Hishu | Def 5 | Armor 1/0 (Leather Coat; Torso) | Fast Reflexes 3 , Fleet of Foot 3 , Iron Stamina 3 | Active Gifts: Warrior's Hide | Conditions (Siskur-Dah) | Tilts (None) | Renown: Cunning 1 , Glory 2 , Purity 2

Using the : command around a number does the dot thing. Other places I just used the flat number. If you do the dots with a number then / and another number (see essence above) it'll read out as how much out of how much or 7 filled dots of 10.

Feel free to just copy and paste then change what you need to. The only note is there has to be the spacing with how the 'ooc' tag is labeled.

If you want to add a little note of OOC info to the side, perhaps if there's a roll to resist a power or a condition you're inflicting, or a reminder of something for people, you can do a sidebar.

[sidebar:right]

Hudson has the "all messed up" condition. It means he's all messed up. Please don't hurt his sweet mug anymore.

[/sidebar]

Hudson blinked back tears as Vali stole his teddy bear for the seventh time this week. He wasn't sure why she liked that old, stuffed bear so much but she certainly did. How could he get Mr. Fuzzy-Butt back? He was no match for the Irraka in games of stealth but maybe he didn't need to be... all he had to do was grab her and then he could apply judicious use of tickles until she revealed the hiding spot.

Or you could use it more thematically to give the ST or your partners a heads up.

Hudson snarled menacingly in Joe's direction. Maybe Joe had thought he was being funny but the Rahu didn't share his sense of humor. Joe should have known better and Hudson was just the werewolf to teach him an important lesson about the human's place in the food chain. The Rahu's muscles swelled as he took the Dalu form, picking up a nearby trash can and hurling it violently against the side of the alley.

"You asshole." His voice was gruffer than it had been a moment ago, his eyes glinting a dull yellow in the darkness. "I've had it up to here with you."

The werewolf slowly moved his head from left to right, then back again. The muscles and bones there gave loud, cracking noises which echoed between the tight confines of the walls on either side. Hudson was bigger than he had been a moment ago and towered over his nemesis.

He wanted Joe to feel afraid. He wanted that man to feel it in every pore of his body. The way some dumbass stumbling through a jungle would feel if they suddenly came face to face with a hungry tiger. He wanted Joe to understand how very, very badly he'd fucked up this time.

Was the Rahu going to beat him? Maybe. Right now, Hudson was settling for the psychological angle. Scare this little shit bad enough, he won't be a problem again. It was a mercy, in a way. Giving Joe another chance. The chance to back down, if he knew what was good for him.

Maybe Hudson was just being petty. Maybe he should have been above something like this display. Turns out, he wasn't. Hudson had been the shit beneath the boot too many times to take it from a little, irreverent scrapper like Joe. Not today. Not now. He wasn't going to have it. No, it might be his ego, but the Rahu wanted that human to piss himself in terror.

Hope that helps!
