Differences on Golden Lion Tavern
Set in the Central Quarter, withA privately owned establishment was rebuilt after sustaining major damage during the siege by it's magical owners. The City officials remain upset that the Inn was repaired so quickly but the rest of the city remains damaged.
Set in the Central Quarter, with it's proximity to Market Street it is a quite popular and bustling tavern, the signpost outside the image of a lion's face, the mane a sunburst, the letters and image all in shiny golden gilt. Upon entrance the Golden Lion lives up to its name, almost everything outlined or inlaid with golden gilt giving it a nice warm atmosphere with the firelight from the large fireplace and the lanterns hanging from the ceiling. All the tables and the bar are sanded to perfect smoothness and stained a deep rich brown that compliments the gilt. Behind the bar is a full length mirror going the length of the bar, glasses and mugs and bottles of different liquors lining it.
Since the flood the Golden Lion has been remodeled with the same plush feel but with an exotic twist hinting at a foreign taste of the Republic. Exotic meals have been added to the menu and exotic plants strategically placed throughout the dining room and bar area adding to the décor to hint at a tribal taste. The remodel has gone a long way to up the Lions standing pushing it ever closer to the Dune in taste without adding the feel of "nobles only" to its clientele.
The bartender (named: Bjorn) is a large, muscular bald man with a full bushy well-waxed mustache, his head shining in the lantern light. The barmaids all quite beautiful young women; elven, half-even and human, wearing white billowy shirts that bare their shoulders and moderate length skirts. Everything inside the tavern is spic and span, mud that is tracked in from all the rain is mostly caught by a regularly beaten rug and any that escapes is cleaned up fairly quickly. All the aprons worn by the working crew are almost sparkling with their whiteness.
