Guelderine is a major city in the south of Eccles, at the base of the [[Duirt River]] - though it is called the Guelderine River in that region. Guelderine is situated at the foot of a large area of high hills. Amongst the noble houses in that region are [[House Helfi]] and [[House Celya]]. It takes about two weeks on average to travel to Guelderine following the river - a shorter route is available through the hills, but that route is much more difficult and dangerous to travel.
