Ashelyn is a woman of oddities, a quiet secretive soul amidst a crowd. She is most often seen in the necropolis, or during the late evening hours after sunset and before dawn in the city proper. It is most often the case that she is wearing a tattered red robe held securely shut by a silver cord. Her arrivals are announced by the gentle clicking of an elaborate looking walking cane held in an ashen grey hand. At her side, more than not, a large hound with patchwork fur and one eye.
==== Full Description ====
A shade of an individual stands before you. The figure wore a tattered, likely once finely crafted silk robe of deep red color, drawn closed with a small, delicate looking silver cord. In one of its ashen grey skinned hands, an ornate looking cane held. The cane itself, was ebony wood, accented in ivory. the grip of this cane is a palm sized, humanoid skull, two large chips of onyx acting as its eye sockets.
From beneath the cowl-like hood, a pair of softly smoldering orange eyes look out at the world. What visible features from beneath the shadow cast of its hood, the figure has a very pale ashen complexion. Her lips are done in a soft lavender color makeup, or perhaps tattoo, the cheek are gaunt and her cheekbones sharp beneath her skin, marred by what appear to be stains for tears.
The figure itself, does not stand overly tall, barely average height. Although the robe is a bit voluminous, the wearer has a somewhat slender build. As an extra note, footfalls from the individual are light and deliberate, like a predator hunting pray.
At the figure's side, is almost always a very large hound. The fur is a patchwork of rusty red and dark browns and black, a single white patch right below its lone amber eye. An unusual note, is that the animal seems to have absolute loyalty to the figure.
Beneath this veil of mysteries, accounting for her requested appearances at house functions lay a woman of eccentric manners. A quiet woman who speaks rarely, but does so in a blunt and direct manner. Her movements are deliberate and carefully chosen, akin to a hunting cat on the prowl, a hold over form her elfish heritage.
Without the common crimson robe, Ashelyn is a woman of exceptional beauty and poise. Her skin is a very pale ashen grey shade, accented most often with dark makeup around her eyes and a pale lavender colored lips. Her admittedly somewhat sharp nails are always painted a deep black color. Corwning her head, is a neatly brushed mane fo silvery white hair, most often kept loose and hanging low.
She is most often seen at the high class functions, in a form fitting dress of black and silver beneath a lace shawl of deep crimson cloth. About her throat is worn a dark black choker or satin, decorated with a deep crimson gemstone shaped as an eye. Simple black slippers and a pair of matching lace gloves complete her outfit. During these fancy functions or house galas, she keeps her normally loose hair pinned up in a bun with two cold iron hair stilettos.

==== Character Background ====
[coming soon]Ashelyn is a woman born to a simple family, the daughter of a ranger and a druidic healer from the republic. For her first eight winters, her mother taught her some of the old ways, holistic healing and medicinal treatments for injuries. Not one to be outdone, her father taught her the techniques of sneaking and hunting. One day, their small farming community was raided. Despite a valiant defense by the men and willing woman fighters, the village was sacked. Many of the surviving woman and children captured, chained and dragged to a market far to the northern reach of vorus, while others fell to worse fates. These traumatizing events, lead to an odd silence lingering about her, unwilling or unable to speak.
She was purchased, taken away from her mother, by an older gentleman and taken home where she would be introduced to the mans younger children. One might think that such a loving and welcoming home would provide some measure of recovery for the traumatized girl, the situation was anything but comforting. While the youngest of the children was indeed quite kind and friendly, her new older siblings, were bullies, setting her up for punishments or outright hurting her themselves while the eyes of authority were turned elsewhere. One such accident as the eldest would call these instances, would leave permanent lasting damage to the girl.
A result of a prank gone horribly wrong and a bad fall, left ashelyn with damage to her throat. Despite quick acting help form servents and the riding instructor to get her to the healer, it was questionable if she would ever be able to speak at all should she recover. A side effect of the strange medicines and manners non magical that were used to treat the injuries, left her frail and weak, needing the use of a cane to move around.
Shortly after her "master" had passed from illness, Ashelyn found herself locking herself in the house library, studying everything she could. But the persuits of knowledge, magical or otherwise, would not be finished here. Her "brother", now head of their family, had her taken to a nunnery to Temperia, where she would spend the rest of her days or so he hoped.
Ashelyn, for many years spent her time, studying, learning, observing. It would not be until she stumbled across information on necromancy and the various stages and states of undeath that ashelyn found her true calling. Unfortunately, or fortunately, ashelyn was becoming obsessed with something she acceled at. She found the dakr art, missunderstood, undesired, much like she herself had felt most fo her life. What was more, it came to her as naturally as breathing. For this end, she began to garner a reputation, "spooky" was the gentlest of words given to describe her. Her obsession with the art, began to reflect in her mannerisms, her appearance, spending days, even weeks in the libraries in study until her skin began to pale and her hair lost its lustre.
From this obsession, she was "recruited" into the company of a young lord belonging to the great house of Demha, a novice necromancer in his own right. She spent time with the young lord, their odd relationship forming over the topic. The two grew close, enough so that it was often joked the two were in courtship. Little known, was the fact that the lord had infact, proposed and given the young woman a ring.
As with most things in the young womans life, joys and beautiful things did not remain long in her life. While away, her betrothed fell to misfortune. While attempting to create a new spell varient to the fireball spell, the arcane energies escaped his means of focus and containment, running wild and causing an explosion of wild arcane energy. Her return was met with sobs and weeping, her betrothed taking his last breath as she begged him to stay with her. Despite the great hardship, losing her beloved, she pushed onward.
To this day, Ashelyn remains loyal to the house of Demha, servicing the graveyards and necropolis the family is most known for keeping in the city of Duirt. Her gift with necromantic arts to this day helping her to keep at rest the dead and giving a strange dominon over the restless undead.
