The Voran Alphabet is used to write East Voran and West Voran. It consists of 50 characters, each nice and round and representing exactly one sound. Thus, the Voran alphabet does not have letters that may have different pronunciations such does English (such as the 'a' in 'play' is different from the 'a' in 'war'), nor does it have different spellings for the same pronunciation (such as 'tomato' and 'tomato').

Thus, if one language using the Voran alphabet is spoken, one can perfectly pronounce writing in the other, and though it is not possible to understand what is written in this manner, another who hears it being read may be able to translate.
