Raven is a woman of beauty, though she oft comes across as having the same temperament of a school of sharks. Two blades, her only companions, are always at her side. Normally encountered in a black jacket over dark shirt and leather pants.

Full Description

Raven is a creature of sinister beauty. She has pale skin like prized porcelain, offset by twin pools of electric blue-green eyes. She usually keeps the crown of dark scarlet red hair flowing freely, falling like a waterfall to the middle of her back. The only blemish upon her face being a scar, running across her left eye.

While she may be of average human height, her lithe form and graceful movements reflect to her elven heritage. She has a lean, athletic frame and musculature, often making others guess as to her true strength. Her stride is reminiscent of a large hunting cat, slow and methodical without much wasted movement.

Most often found in what she dubbed her "adventure" gear, she does in times of formal requirement "clean up" for such events and ceremonies. Raven is most often seen wearing a simple pair of dark grey and black boots, under a pair of comfortably tight black leather pants to maximize range of motion. Her upper body is usually clad in a black silk shirt, beneath a plate of darkened armor. she finished the outfit, with a short jacket of the same dark leather colors and fingerless gloves on each hand.

Strapped over one shoulder and at her right hip, the only other constant of her attire are two exotic appearing blades. A crossbow accompanies her from a shoulder sling, though it shows sign of very light if any use.

Character Background

Raven was a child sold into servitude to pay off a gambling debt. she spent her formative years, as a member of various mercenary bands with her "father", a cold and emotionless man who beleived that the only thing thing that mattered was the weight of your purse at the end of the day. Raven was, for this reason, repeatedly beaten, forced to learn to fight and "carry her weight" by this man.

during a battle to the west, on the island of jazrik, specifically during the assault on the captial city her father was mortally wounded. Despite his many attempts to the contrary, raven still bore some sense of loyalty to the man who had raised her. almost without thinking, moved to stop the one constant in her life from being killed. she was only barely able to deflect the blow and resulting in her nearly losing her left eye from the sword in the process.

In what was perhaps his most cruel lesson, raven felt a sharp, burning pain in her backa dn stomach. looking down to the cause, she saw her father's blade stabbed through her to get the killing blow on the previously wounded opponent. as she felt her consciousness fading, she heard someone say "even in death, your such a disappointment".

she awoke sometime later, with a gasp of breath and immense pain through her body. looking about she found herself in a hospital tent and several of her band nearby, guarding over the wounded or being tended to themselves. as she tried to sit up, one fo the clerics pushed her gently back down and told her what had happened and how severe her injuries actually were.

it would take raven severeal weeks to properly recover, due to her ignoring of the wounds still not yet healed and attempts to put herself through her normal training drills, reopening several of them multiple times. she left this band of mercenaries, and joined up with a seperate crew soon after, setting an ambush on a merout ship called the "dawnsinger" by request of a rival house. for this band she served only a single mission, this singular assault. a lord of merout and his aventi wife were both killed during the assault, and a fluke accident lead to raven trapped in an achors chain as it was dragged overboard.

when next she woke, she was in a shrine, north of duirt at port Nox, dedicated to the spirits of nature. she wound spent several weeks here recovering, again, pushing her body despite lingering effects of the battle and her apparent death by drowning. when news of a seige for the nearby city of duirt reached ehr ear, she was quick to throw her service to the cause. if for nothing else, a heavy coin purse and an extra benefit of challenge, in repulsing what was already a heavy force against the city.

shortly after arriving to the city of duirt, she began to find herself coming to like the city. after the seige had broken, she left her mercenary band she had ridden in with and got recruited officially to the city port authority. what comes next for this battle tested woman, is for the fates to decide.
