Old version of Baelfyre Winford

Played by .

Despite Bael's youthful face and complexion, his hair is white, making him look so much older than he actually is. His eyes are golden in hue, even sparkling as though there were actual flecks of gold glitter in them. Something is off with his pupils, they seem too large, glossy eyes making them look down right unnatural. His skin is also not right, it too looks to take on a slight golden hue, though there is no claim of dragon in him…Sometimes people just do more than they can handle for power.

There was a time when Bael was a normal kid, he was one of the Winford's brightest students, he has so much potential, came from each lip. But something happened to him when he was just awakening to his powers. Something that struck him and took most of his demeanor away. He became so very reclusive, locking himself away in his room for hours, even days on end, refusing to come out, chasing all away. He wasn't mean, or hateful, just distant and unsocial.

Somewhere in his later teen years, Bael left home, and traveled with a group of adventurers that had apparently been searching for some relic that Bael wanted badly, something that he felt deep down would make him only stronger in his quest for ultimate power. He traveled with them for several years, no one heard from him, and he's never tried to make contact with his family during his whole travel. Yet one day, he just showed back up, He looked weathered, his hair had gone white, his skin took on a golden hue, he wore tattered robes and he was alone. Rumor was that whatever the group was looking for, was powerful enough for Bael to kill the lot of them. He has never acknowledged, nor has he ever denied these rumors. He simply ignored them and let people think what they would.

The rumors didn't roll off of Bael, however, he knew the people didn't like him, he knew he was probably never going to be the praise of his house, and that did cut him, though he never let it show. Only his mother knew of the pain that Bael was in, and she frequently told the people to back off and leave her son be. Bael however saw no point in staying to endure this, and he left on a caravan back to the Ecclesian Capitol to seek out another relic. He was gone for another year, and no one heard from him again, however, this time, he was found in the woods just outside Duirt by his family as they drove a Carriage from the capitol back to the city. He never spoke of his time in the home lands, some say he destroyed something there only to gain it's power for himself. Others say that he lost something that he cherished there, and it broke his heart. Either way he's never fed into these claims, he just refuses to talk about it.

There's a rumor floating around the town, that Baelfyre Winford was betrothed to a woman from the Vorun homeland, Someone said that she was a beautiful sorceress, high with power and a heart of pure gold. The Winford's went to the city in question to have the marriage ceremony, it was a great deal, as it was one of the only times that Bael was ever in public, and it was the only time that Bael has ever shown any desire to be social at all. The ceremony was said to be beautiful, some claimed to have even seen Bael smile that day. He didn't return to Duirt with a wife however, instead, he returned empty, alone, wearing robes of black. His family said that they shared their first kiss as husband and wife, and his betrothed fell limp in his arms, dead as though he sucked the life and power right out of her.

Still, it wasn't long before rumor and talk started to quiet down, and people began to carry on with their lives, Bael had only reached the age of 24, people believed him to be some form of vampire or demon that sucked the life out of people. He became the tale that mothers told their children to scare them into behaving, Baelfyre went back to his ways of retreating into solitude. During the festivities of celebration, a creature had come from the ocean, destroying the docks and laying waste to everything in it's path. Bael was seen with the Port Authority, battling the beast with magic and coming through to save the city. Although he said nothing to anyone, a different song started to sing on the lips of the people. Perhaps he wasn't a monster, perhaps he was just misunderstood. But those eyes…Those horrible, soulless eyes…
