Differences on Religions

Differences between by and the current version
Novus Utum uses its own religions and domains. This page will give a brief overview as well as the options and limitations placed on Clerics of the various faiths. The rules for clerics also apply to other classes that are religious in nature like Inquisitor. There are three basic religions to choose from: * [[setting/Ecclesia]] * [[setting/Pantheon of Vorus]] * [[setting/Spirits of Nature]] ---- Ecclesia ---- * Clerics may not be Chaotic * May choose any combination of domains * May choose any weapon as deities favoured weapon * May use any key as a holy symbol * Must be in good standing with the Holy Church of Ecclesia * Will lose access to spells and count as fallen if they are excommunicated. It is irrelevant whether the excommunication was justified or not * Paladins may freely multiclass with Cleric and Inquisitor * May not multiclass with classes devoted to other religions (such as Druids) ---- Pantheon of Vorus ---- * Clerics may be of any alignment * Clerics must select a specific deity from the pantheon. * They get their favoured weapon based on the deity * Domains are selected from the domains of that deity ---- Spirits of Nature ---- * Clerics must be neutral (Neutral Good, Lawful Neutral, True Neutral, Chaotic Neutral or Neutral Evil) * One domain must be Animal, Plant or Weather. The other domain may be chosen freely * Favoured weapon is always the quarterstaff
