Nobility Sphere

Final version of removed Nobility Sphere
Table of Contents

The Nobility DM is responsible for the Duirt's Nobility, including managing the families and allowing players to join their factions. It deliberately requires fewer active adventures and more involvement with players.

Adventure Frequency: once a month

Skills: Good understanding of the customs of the nobility, goals of the noble houses and knowledge of the relevant NPCs

Bookkeeping

You are responsible for all bookkeeping and paperwork related to the following:

  • House Lords of each noble house
  • Faction page of each noble house

Noble Family Management

You are responsible for running and tracking noble family matters. When Noble PCs get married or have children, they should come to you to get the blessing of their House Lord, which may be run as short scenes or handled via message at your discretion.

Positions

Nobles have access to position type jobs they can advance in by showing loyalty to their respective house. When players believe they qualify, they will come to you and it will be up to you to approve their job advancement and any paperwork to increase their weekly income.

Knighthoods

Players who might qualify for knighthoods need to be given quests so they can advance in their goals. It is up to you to help them organize this. You need not run these adventures yourself, you can ask another DM to run it on your behalf, but you should keep track of the various quests Knight Errands engage in, how they showed their loyalty, etc. Once you believe they have shown their worth, you should present their case to the DM team for final rubber stamping of their knighthood.

Balls

At least four times a year (once a season), a noble family should organize a ball. The ball should be announced on the forum at least two weeks in advance and should have the opportunity for players to rub elbows with important figures. Each ball should have a theme so players can find outfits that fit the theme. Naturally balls are great times for nobles to get into kerfuffles with one another as well!
