Opera browser Problems

No tags

I understand there have been some players encountering problems while using the Opera browser, including messages not being posted in the chat and character sheets not saving.

RPGpad should work just fine in Opera so we'd like to get to the bottom of this. To do that, we need your help.

If you use Opera and have encountered these issues in the past, we'd love to know exactly which version of Opera you are using. You should be able to see this in the Opera menu under "About Opera".

It would also help to know exactly where and when these issues occur - what page are you on, and what went wrong.

Should you have any information, please let us know, here, or through a bug report, or you can private message me as you prefer.

My issues was noticed on Friday 9/18 at roughly 2:30pm est.

My Browser is Opera GX

Your version isLVL 2 (core: 71.0.3770.138)

Opera is up to date

In the chat room I was unable to send a message to the chat room by hitting "enter" or by pressing the "send" button. When I hit "enter" it acted as if a "shift" kit was also depressed at the same time and just created a new line of text to type in to. To note none of the text from typing acted as if the "shift" key was depressed.

Using my mouse button to click on send produced the animation like the button was being pressed bit no noticeable response occurred.

I did check my keyboard for stuck keys before moving to an alternate browser (Edge) which seemed to work without issue and did not act as if the "shift" key was depressed when I hit "enter" to send a message in chat.

As of my testing this morning, Monday 9/21 at 10:30 am est, the issue seems to be resolved and messages are posting normally in chat with the use of the "enter" key to send the message as well as selecting the "Send" button.

Thanks for letting us know! We released an emergency patch which should fix this issue on a more permanent basis. Should it - or a different bug - occur again, please let us know!
