During the Siege of Duirt, part of the central quarter collapsed, forming a large lake in the middle of the quarter and exposing various tunnels. As most of the area was flooded with river and sea water, the city built a series of windmills in the central quarter to pump out the water, financed by mutual cooperation of the various noble houses and with contributions from the Church of Eccles and the merchants guild. With the mills now in full operation, the water is slowly being pumped out, revealing the tunnels underneath as it goes.
The Windmills have been running and have successfully cleared the first section of the 'undercity' allowing it to be explored. Rumour has it, the city will be organizing this. Regardless, those going in should be careful, as there is still risk of flooding, and high tide still brings water into the sections
