Investigation and Solution to Unearthly Phenomena

From the marshy expanses near our village, an ancient city has risen – the forgotten Delmoria. This sight alone would be odd enough, but that isn't the only peculiarity. The spectral lights and haunting cries echoing from the city in the darkness of night have unsettled our folk. It's as if the city's spirits have woken up from a centuries-long sleep.

We need brave souls to delve into this sunken city, discover the source of these phenomena, and end our fears. If this spectral resurrection is tied to some relic or cursed artifact, it must be removed or neutralized. If spirits have been disturbed, they must be laid to rest once more. Whatever means are necessary to bring peace to our nights, we seek.

The Elders of our village are offering a handsome reward of 500 gold pieces each to the courageous ones who can investigate Delmoria, uncover the truth, and return the village to its quiet existence. There may also be the opportunity to keep any treasure discovered during this mission. However, this is minus any artifacts needed to resolve our current predicament.

Note that this is no task for the faint-hearted. Only those with true mettle, courage, and experience should consider undertaking this mission.

For more information and to accept this quest, speak to Elder Merrin at the village hall.

May the gods guide you,

The Elders of Thaeldor

The Druid sends word she will look into this matter.

So this isn't for low levels? What level range would you like to see?

Mid-Level would be great 8-10. However if we have lower levels that want to join (6-8) I can adjust as well.

After returning back to the city from their expedition to the city Arcanar he wanted to know more about the creatures that had attacked the soul nexus there and what they could want with it, as well as to be better able to defeat them if they came back or attacked elsewhere.

So into the Mage tower he went. Passing on his notes and information to the people who had asked him to go and then straight into the library he went. Scouring for information of them.

Once he was done there, he then headed to the Voran temples to see if he could find out more about the creatures and where they come from.

Environment Ethereal Plane

Ethereal marauders are reptile-like animals native to the Material Plane that can move between the Material and Ethereal Planes as easily as a fish swims through water. While not evil or bent on destruction, ethereal marauders are predators and consider all living creatures prey. Whether or not one becomes a victim of a marauder is simply a matter of the creature’s hunger.

Marauders spend most of their time on the Ethereal Plane, invisibly stalking creatures on the Material. When a victim is found, the marauder strikes quickly, using its ability to attack and flee to the safety of the Ethereal Plane before the target counterattacks. Victims often believe, much to their dismay, that shutting themselves behind doors or magical wards will thwart a marauder. A marauder’s ability to shift planes means it bypasses such means of protection.
