Necropolis politics

(( Hopefully this was supposed to go here ))

In what started as a simple investigation into a possible theft of bodies dug up in the necropolis, a series of adventurers were confronted with a small honor guard of skeletons and a corpselord. These Monsters of necromancy are difficult to kill, even shattering the body is cross of floor is not enough to prevent there resurrections.

In a battle of the necromantic Arts, the young woman known as Ashelyn to her fellow necropolis Guardians, and a small band of adventurers laid low one of these corpselords for good. Said corpse Lord had laid claim to the entirety of the necropolis as his domain.

After a fierce struggle, a bloodied band of heroes stood victorious. As the skeletal king lay in tattered ruins with only his skull still intact, Ashlyn was overheard telling the former King,"The king is dead, long live the queen."

Using healing magics to unbind his undeath, the would be king was forced back to his eternal rest. The self proclaimed queen was seen the following morning, resuming her watch over the dead. She was even overheard speaking to them, to assure them they would not be disturbed under her watch.

She went further to advise the other crypt watchers of recent vampiric activity in the area, advising them to take appropriate measures to keep themselves and others safe.
