As delivered to Command

With devistating news, comes the fall and complete sacking of Frostville. However, not all is doom and gloom in the reports made to command, as Lord Floom and his wife Kat had managed to recover most if not all of the civilians, as well as recover with the aid of a few adventurers who answered the call, two missing Attianas thought dead.

Jack and Sarina Star Atianna, who had been captured in a previously assault on the horde gone sideways, were both rescued and recovered from their captors. Both are in need of critical and immediate long term medical care before they can even think about any attempt to rejoin the battles. A list of injuries are included in my report and a copy of it have been given to their attending physicians and current head of house. Both gave testimony as the deaths of the remaining party members, including a Lady Demha, an elven archer and a son of house Ferency, their injuries per the witnesses is also included below.

Frostville was gone.

Katrina sat alone in the suite of rooms at House Tenderfoot where her family were accommodated, that thought going around and around her head. All the years she had spent planning it and nurturing it, like a blossoming flower in her garden, all destroyed in less than an hour.

The bloodrose hedge had yet to completely encircle Frostville, but thanks to the efforts of Prilla Frost and the other druids the area between the village and the Horde had been filled in. She had been up on her broom, with Prilla behind her, as they patrolled that edge.

Suddenly they saw a bunch of orcs chasing two humans who Prilla could tell, with her empathy power, were in bad shape. She also somehow instinctively knew that both of them were in House Atianna, and given House Frost's relationship with House Atianna, both Frosts were determined to save them. So, while Katrina started pummeling the orcs from above with spells, Prilla opened a small gap in the hedge to let them through.

At the same time, the defenders of the city sprang into action. Floom activated the evacuation plan sending citizens on to Duirt, five miles away by whatever means was available.

It was close. A bunch of orcs also managed to slip through the hedge before Prilla could close the gap. They then watched, horrified as one of the orc leaders used a magical great axe to hack a hole in the hedge with the aid of other orcs. Several of them fell to the blood sucking thorns but the hedge was breached and orcs started pouring though. The defenders, including a few adventurers who had been there at the time, and the two Atiannas rushed in to fill the breach.

For a while, it looked like the breach could be contained but some of the orcs started firing burning arrows over the hedge into the village, setting several houses on fire. This meant that Kat and Prilla had their hands full trying to put them out. But it was more than they could handle. One final push from the defenders managed to take out the two leaders and recover the gear of the two Atianna's but, by now, Frostville's fate was sealed as the rest of the Horde was rapidly advancing, tempted by the amount of loot and resources that were on offer.

The odds were overwhelming but nearly all the citizens were safe. Floom transformed into a dragon and breathed a wall of flame to allow the defenders to disengage and also flee. Both the Inn and Frost Manor had caught fire by now and Katrina was desperately trying to think of a way to save then.

"Mom ..... MOM .. We GOTTA GO ... Blue dragon approaching" Prilla pointed towards the approaching Horde where, sure enough, a blue dragon was in view. It is very rarely when Prilla speaks loudly, usually her voice is no more than a shy whisper. That was enough for Kat to turn her broom and speed towards Duirt, having to leave her burning village behind her.

They headed to House Tenderfoot where some of their most precious possessions had already been sent, which is where she was now. She bursts into tears, as she thinks about what had been lost. Just then felt comforting arms around her. "Shh ... it's okay Mom ... it's okay .. at least we're safe. We can rebuild"

Katrina nods "Yeah ... guess so .... maybe .... one day"

*Floom stood on a stack of crates in the Grand Square, at the base of the crates rested the aged; famed wardog, Ruff. He looked out over the square and the many, many students who had come to hear the Noble Lord speak. He remained silent for long moments looking out to the people. He raised a hand and immediately the crowd silenced. He spoke with Power that allowed his voice to boom and is heard through-out the Square.*

Frostville is gone. A Blue Dragon and a massive horde of monsters have destroyed all that I have worked for. Frostville was not built for myself or for my children but for everyone. I am moved that so many came to help protect us as we fled to the safe walls of Duirt. Frostville is gone. But it is NOT Dead. House Frost survives. It's people who survive. What was destroyed can be rebuilt. Frostville Will be rebuilt. Those that fell to defend us in this threat will be honored.

Frostville is gone. But House Frost remains, I Remain. House Frost stands to defend Duirt against this Horde of beasts. And when they are defeated, we Will defeat them. And when we do, we will Rebuild. I stand before you as a Brother. *He points to the Ivory Tower.* I was a Student here! I was a Teacher Here! As such I swear a Brother's Oath; Duirt will not fall! Frostville Will be Rebuilt! We, Will, drive these savages back to the places from whence they came!

Frostville is gone. But WE remain. And We will Thrive!

*He lowers his head and the crowd of students cheered his speech. He dropped down from the crates, running his fingers through Ruff's fur he and the Wardog vanished.*
