A Halfling Witch and a Magic Rock feeds the community.

Katrina, and other Frost halflings, dragged a cauldron full of hot water into the Market Place.

"I have here, a Magic Stone, with which, I will feed everyone here. I will put the stone in the water and a soup will appear. However, the magic of the Stone needs YOUR help. Go and gather up any food scraps you can find. Bring them to me and I will add them to the pot. And let the Magic Stone work it's .. erm ... magic on what you donate."

Folk hurried off to get what little food they had left. Soon, all sorts of stuff was going in the cauldron. Little potatoes, carrot ends, left over onions, leeks, oats, corn, meat gristle and even bones with meat still on them. Whatever people could find that was still edible .. went in.

Finally Katrina added the contents of two potions, and her druid daughter produced some berries. Those two went into the cauldron and soon the water thickened up and an aroma of soup filled the air.

With the help of some guards and adventurers, an orderly line was formed and everyone's mugs were filled. They went away, satisfied and full with the nutritious broth.

No one knew that the stone was only magical because of an illusionary aura put on it, but it didn't matter. Everyone shared what they had and everyone was fed and happy. Plus it was a good story to be spread about ... and the city needed those more than ever.

As for the potions? Well .... that was a Potion of Remove Poison and one of Remove Disease ...... just in case. Plus the berries Prilla had provided were druidic Goodberries - to add a bit more to the magic.

What was left over was bottled to be given away where needed.
