Valentine Delivery

No tags

Jahana seeks out Aldan to deliver on her promise. "It's not my best work as I don't really know the lady of your heart personally. But I did some snooping to get a feel for her. I hope I did her, and you, justice"

She hands him a scroll with the following inside:

To Ashryn, the Alchemist of My Heart

Oh, fairest light where silver tresses gleam,

A whisper’d muse of wisdom’s subtle art,

Thy verdant gaze, like forest’s fleeting dream,

Doth kindle fire within my restless heart.

When thou dost speak in tones of tinctured lore,

With breathless zeal, thy words in tempest flow,

I stand enrapt, though lost in terms galore,

Yet love thee more for all I do not know.

Thy hands, with ink and wonder ever stained,

Unravel secrets drawn from nature’s grace,

Yet in thine eyes, a magic uncontained—

No potion holds the warmth of thy embrace.

So let me be the vessel of thy will,

To love thee true, through time’s elixir still.

Aldan takes the scroll with a smile, not opening it, looking forward to experiencing the contents with Ashryn.

"Thank you Jahana... I look forward to delivering this to her," He replies with a smile. "How much do I owe for such a delicate work?"

Jahana returns his warmth, "Think nothing of it. For the crowds, I ask coin for my services. For friends, not one will I take, even if offered. But if you find yourself with cold seat in the stands at the nuptials, invite me to warm it and we'll call it even."
