Thornbrook Inn study session of Blackthorn Manor

No tags

Naemin sat alone at a desk in his inn room. There were candles lit nearby and he had dancing lights around the room creating a well lit area for his studies. All of those lights flickering and cold rather than hot, not meant to warm the room but to chase away the darkness just enough for his human eyes to see clearly. His uneaten meal as well as the unused drink cup sat on the bedside table. He didn't need either but people in the town might think it strange for him to refuse the food and drink and disappear away for a long time. The smells of the food and drink mixing with the old wood in the room, and musty slightly molded cloth that made up the bed coverings, blanket and pillows. The sound of the winds outside blowing along the covered shutters outside the window also helped to keep him to his studies.

The books he had been able to get out of the library and rooms were standing neatly side by side in one corner of the desk. One of his own books for notes and knowledge was out in front of him. Leaving room for one of his new found books to lay open for reading and if he found anything interesting copying down. He was happy to have his Read Magic up for the day and so there was little trouble if he came across anything like that. His necromantic curiosity at a full time high, along with his want of knowledge on history. Keeping him up all night.

Only into the early morning did he pause to sleep for a couple hours, not nearly enough for a normal human but perhaps an elf, before restudying his spells and back to his work at learning.

(( If there were any rolls you would like him to make Northus to glean information both for the adventure and necromatnic/history learning. Let me know and I'll make them here. ))

Once Treasure had taken the time to freshen up, she joined Naemin for the study session, at least for a little while. She didn't actually do anything helpful, besides paging through the books yet never seeming to actually read any part of them.
