Siege Status (2020-12-14)

Attackers: Siege Equipment

5 (+2): Orcs were working on siege towers, and defenders failed to destroy them, though some of the construction crew were killed, slowing progress slightly.

The attackers currently have a large number of ladders, ropes and grappling hooks as well as log rams to try and batter down the gate.

Defenders: City Defenses

8 (+2): An attempt to infiltrate and sabotage by goblins swimming up to the harbor under cover was stopped by heroes, and a hostage situation at the embassy was resolved, victories that helped bring defenders together.

The walls are manned and towers equipped with ballista's and catapults. The city has reinforced the gates and different factions are attempting to organize, though there are still a decent number of squabbles to resolve - especially about who is in command of who.

Defenders: Supplies

23 (-1): A number of hobgoblin pirates roam the seas near the city, attacking merchant shipping. One attack was stopped and a hobgoblin ship sunk, but the pirates remain a problem, reducing the trade by sea from 3 to 2.

The city is using 6 supply each week and receiving 4 as the land routes on the Eccles side are blocked by the orcs and hobgoblin pirates cause issues for sea-based shipping, for a net -2 per week.

Attackers: Hoard Size

110% (unchanged): A scouting party managed to destroy a number of orcs, trolls and an ogre mage and a raid led by a central quarter guardswoman also bled the horde. Though certainly not equal to the number of orcs arriving, these loses have caused some other orcs to back off for fear they could be next.

Combining these effects, the horde has remained roughly the same size this week.

Allies & Advantages

No changes on either side as of yet

Last week I listed some missions, these have since been picked up by the various DMs running. Please refer to your team DM for more mission options (if any), or if you have any suggestions of things your team could do! Your initiative will be most welcome!
