In order to calm the masses, a ruling had been made that the Noble responsible for the death of the halfling child, would be publicly executed. An outcry of justice had been heard coming from the Rat Tunnel's and the Maze of Diurt. For once, they felt like they had been heard. They would get their justice served
A large crowd of every class gathered around the executioner's stand that was erected in the Market District, near the Tavern where the crime had been carried out. The Noble, now stripped of her name, and title, was brought out towards the stand. Jeers, and spoiled food was thrown her way, splattering her semblance of an outfit. The City Watch did their best to quell the crowd of angry Maze residents. Even those that had heard of the tale we're joining in the shaming of this woman.
She was stood up, and placed in front of the chopping block. A spokeman for the Judge had walked up and spoke out to the crowd, hushing them
"SHE HAS BEEN STRIPPED OF NAME. SHE HAS BEEN STRIPPED OF HER TITLES. JUDGEMENT HAS BEEN MADE FOR THE DEATH OF A CHILD. MAGIC WAS USED IN ORDER TO DESTROY THE LIFE OF AN INNOCENT. A SIMPLE GIRL, WITH GOALS THAT WE'RE SNUFFED OUT BY THE VERY WOMAN THAT CROUCHES HERE. THIS DAY, BY THE ORDER OF THE MAGISTRATE, WILL BE EXECUTED BY BEHEADING."
The crowd cheers wildly! Both sides of the coin. Cheers of utter disagreement, and those that agreed with the sentencing. Small outbursts, and fights occurred in the crowds. The Watch we're quick to act, trying to calm the outbursts
The Executioner stepped up, rising the axe high above his head. The crowd was hushed, watching this with abated breaths. The metal glistened in the lowering sun before it connected with the back of her neck. She was offered no final words, or goodbyes. She was given no time to prepare. The head of the Noble fell into the basket with a resounding sound.
